Causeway Solutions has expanded its Washington D.C. presence with the opening of a new office in the nation’s capital and the addition of James Garcia as President of Public Affairs and Communications.
James Garcia has worked at the highest levels of national politics for more than a decade. Throughout his career, James has worked with public officials and candidates at the presidential, gubernatorial, congressional, and state legislative level. He has played a prominent role during the last three presidential election cycles and has extensive experience managing efforts in over 20 states.
Prior to joining Causeway Solutions, James served as President of GPS Public Affairs where he worked extensively with corporate clients, non-profits, and national and state political party committees. He also oversaw the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s efforts on behalf of Senator Rob Portman (OH), Senator Roy Blunt (MO), and Senator Todd Young (IN). He was undefeated, winning three of the most closely watched races in the country in 2016.

Prior to his tenure at GPS Public Affairs, James served as National Political Director for Chris Christie’s presidential campaign. He managed the campaign’s national political organization and directed the polling, analytics, voter contact, and ballot access programs. Previously, he served as National Political Director for the Leadership Matters for America PAC in 2015.
James served as Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee in 2014 and as National Field Director for Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign in 2012. James graduated summa cum laude, earning his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Houston. He has been a guest lecturer at the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University and has taught at the Republican National Committee’s Campaign Management College.
